Wild-1, Florida-2, Theo saved 25 of 27 shots

And a good number of those saves were very impressive ones. José again played a great game! The rest of the Wild...not so much. There was a little more defense, that's why he only had to face 27 shots on goal rather than the 37 from last game. But they just couldn't do anything with the puck at the other end. Very disappointing.

The Fox Sports North guys selected him as the Star of the Game. I'm sure he'd rather have the win. But at least he did all he could to help the team win. Great job, José!!

More to come later...

Success!! They are pronouncing Theodore correctly!

I understand that I'm probably not the only person that let the Wild commentators know that they were mispronouncing Theodore, but they are now pronouncing it correctly!! I had sent an e-mail to Fox Sports North asking them to pass on the information. Then I twittered Mike Greenlay and Mike Russo (because he also mispronounced it on the radio on Sunday.)

So I'm sure I can't take all the credit, but I'm so happy to hear it correctly. Thanks, Mike and Dan!!

It's Joe-zay Thee-uh-dore, everyone.

A Few New Photos from the Blue Jackets Game

A few more photos from José's Nov. 6th win against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

I love when he "takes a knee." There's just something adorable about it.

José Will Not Start Tonight, Tomorrow Instead

I just read on the Wild's website that Backstrom will be starting against Atlanta tonight, not José.

And this is what I think about that...

Oh, I kid! I know he's not going to get a lot of starts...yet. ;o)

Russo says José will start tomorrow against Florida instead. Either way, Go Wild!

Thanks to my friend for THIS!

Thank you, velocitygirl, for sharing your recent find with me...

I try to keep my blog as serious as possible, focus on the hockey and all that. But sometimes, I just have to squee about the guy. And this is one of those times....here's a photo from a few years ago. Enjoy!

Backstrom/Theodore to Split the Two Wild Games This Week

According to fantasy hockey league sites out there, José and Backstrom will split the two games on Thursday and Friday.

This from rotoworld.com:

"Niklas Backstrom and Jose Theodore will split Minnesota's back-to-back contests this week.

The Wild play in Atlanta on Thursday before heading to Florida to take on the Panthers on Friday night. Coach Todd Richards did not specify an order though. Stay tuned."

I haven't read anything more official than that.

Also, here's a little blurb about the "fun" practice the Wild held on Monday.

"The Minnesota Wild held an entertaining practice on Monday, and after three wins and another three days before the next one, why not? To close out practice, Richards had the guys play a four-on-four scrimmage with the first team to score three goals getting the win.

It was a see-saw battle with a lot of offensive rushes from the defensemen. I saw Greg Zanon down below the goal line more in today’s practice than I have in his entire Wild career. Niklas Backstrom and Jose Theodore were both brilliant, but a 2-2 tie was snapped when Marty Havlat got loose in the slot and roofed a beautiful backhand past Theodore and into the upper corner.

That was followed by a lot of hooting and hollering, which means this team’s spirits are obviously high right now.

2nd Week of Movember

Ok, whoever is taking these photos is killin' me! They are the most unflattering photos of the guys!! Even more unflattering than those notorious official NHL headshots. ;o) They obviously take them after practice, when their hair is wet and standing on end. Believe me, José is not the only one who had this hairdo. It makes me giggle. I'm glad they aren't so vain that they need to "fix themself up" for every photo. Way to go, guys. And it's all for charity, remember. Oh, and it looks like José is going for the whole beard/moustache look rather than moustache only...we'll see how it progresses.

And after that photo, I will post this one again, because it's one of my most favorite photos ever of José. And I think he deserves having a good photo of him posted after that Movember one. Not saying it's bad...just funny!
