The Panthers insist they won’t rush Theodore back despite their lack of depth at the position right now.
“You can’t do that,” goaltending coach Robb Tallas said. “It’s a small injury and you don’t want to make it serious. You do the right steps to make sure [Theodore] is 100 percent. [Scott] Clemmensen is a great goalie, and everybody has 100 percent confidence in him to carry this team right now.”
Until Theodore returns, the Panthers will depend on rookie Brian Foster to serve as Clemmensen’s back up.
