The Panthers didn't show up for the beginning of the game tonight, they left José hanging out to dry and 3 goals were scored pretty early on. Clemmensen was brought in. At that point, the Panthers actually woke up and decided to play in front of their goalie. They have now stormed back and are leading 4-3 after 2 periods. José was under siege, but Clemmensen has had a much easier time of it. José had 3 GAA in 6 shots.
I am pleased that the Panthers are leading, of course. But I am pretty irritated that the team got José pulled. Garrison was interviewed after the 1st, and he admitted they gave no support to José.
Marty Brodeur was also pulled after the 3rd goal against. So now it's Clemmensen vs. Hedberg.
Sorry I didn't update last night. I was too busy defending José to idiots on the internet. They weren't worth my time, but I'd had enough.
Anyway, the Panthers came back and won, 4-3. It looked like a different team after they left José hanging and got him pulled. I guess it woke them up.
Let's hope they play like that a whole game on Thursday. We'll see who the starter is. Most people are calling for Clemmensen. The coach just said "I have tremendous respect for Jose and it was extremely hard to pull him out." He went on to say there would be big decisions in the coach's room before tomorrow and he feels good either way he goes.
José (Jo-say) Theodore (Thee-uh-dore) was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1994 and played with them until March of 2006, winning the Hart and Vezina Trophies in 2002. He spent two and a half seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. José signed with the Washington Capitals in July 2008 where he played the next two seasons. He was awarded the Masterton Trophy in 2010. He played the 2010-11 season with the Minnesota Wild, and then played 2 seasons with the Florida Panthers.

so after looking at this game who do u think will get the call for game number four? as i am too a theo fan and have been since he was a habs, but every time he gets chance in the play offs he has got the short lech now will that be the same thing hear ? it makes me really mad,be cause he would have easlily been bak in nets for the second, but he was not now the question is will he get another chance as he has down well ?
ReplyDeleteHi Rahul! Thanks for the comment! Honestly, I do think he'll get another chance this series. If not next game, then when they go back to Florida. But I honestly don't think Dineen felt this was his fault, and he didn't pull him because of poor play. I think he pulled him to shake up the team and change momentum. That being said, if the Panthers go on to win tonight, he might feel he should reward Clemmensen with the next start. And that's the only reason I feel José might NOT start next game. I honestly hope that doesn't happen, because it wouldn't be fair to José AT ALL! I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed.
DeleteAnd you're right, José would've done just fine if he had gone back in goal and the Panthers played like they are for Clemmensen. I'm really irritated with the team for this one. I feel he will be back...I'm just not sure which game. Let's keep our fingers crossed it's next game.
no problem any time i am huge fan, can't even tell you and too know there is more i am happy. as for theo i hope he does get the start next game because he has already put a big imprint on this series those were two big games at the start witch the only reason they have a lead today in the series is because of not only his play obviously but he played really well in the first game because if u pull him in the first game god knows where this series would be but he kept his cool and coach should reward him for that. also if he says theo is his number one goaltender now is the time too show it, he needs the support because he has not had that with washington one bad game and he was done twice not a way to treat your goalie that lead you that far. also i have point that follow theo for his start next game. he has played in big games series is 2-1 you have a chance to go up 3-1 so everything is in your balnce give him his chance and see where it brings you as because he needs it he has brought you this far played well enough in the season to be in the net. put him in because either way you are up in the series he plays bad you have the back up plane you no what i mean its a win win but just to see where he stands because he deserve the chance and knowing our coach he has put his faith in him and its ould just suck if he is on the bench because he will just feel like he has all the time in other teams
DeleteI agree with everything you said there. Fingers crossed for Thursday!
Deletewhen you look at it and see all the other goalies its just so unfair all the time to theo, you can call it bad luck every where he goes. because when you look at pittsburgh even philly they stick with there starter even when they are losing or even down in the series 3-0 and jose is all where criticized the most when he plays a bad game i don't no why that is why i believe he should get his chance to prove witch he has done this season and in the playoff till today
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing tonight...he just has such rotten luck in these situations. And it's honestly no fault of his own. It's not fair!! Like you said, Flower has been having such a rough time, and he still gets the starts. So José really should. We'll see.
DeleteBy the way just wanted to know if you find stuff out early like if you hear things earlier then they happen ? would you be able to keep posted? i don't know because me i only find out the day of what will happen but do u by any chance find out things before they happen ?
ReplyDeleteI don't usually hear anything any earlier than you probably. Coach Dineen is so tight-lipped about his starter, I don't usually find out until the morning of the game after morning skate. That's when it's posted on twitter by the media who left the ice first, indicating the starter. Unfortunately I don't have any information pipeline more than any other fan. I wish I did!! I'll let everyone know here as soon I hear though!
