In the phone interview José gave over the weekend, he said he'd be flying into Houston on Monday (yesterday) and would hopefully be able to get on the ice for practice today. The Aeros don't actually play any games this week until Saturday, so it seems he'll simply be practicing with them, which I think is what he wanted the most anyway. He'll probably be leaving town before their game to get back to Minnesota to meet up with the team.
He felt he was still in good shape from going to the gym this summer, but he knew he needed to get on the ice to have some shots hit at him. He mentioned in the interview that he'd gotten onto the ice with a couple guys during the summer, but once everyone else went back to their teams for training camp that wasn't a possibility anymore. So I'm sure he's excited to get back on the ice. And I bet some of the Aeros are pretty excited to have a veteran like him practicing with them. Fun for all!
Here is the website for the Aeros: http://www.aeros.com/
I'll be checking in now and then to see if they have any news about him being there.
