I had to switch from the Wild feed to the Blue Jackets feed though, because the Wild commentators still insist on calling him TEE-uh-dore. It's truly maddening. Does anyone know a way I can send in an e-mail and see if they will consider asking him how to pronounce his name? He will tell them it's THEE-ud-dore!!
One of the Blue Jackets commentators said, "Give THEE-uh-dore all the credit in the world. Body position is excellent." Then later, "José Theodore is the difference in this hockey game." I think he likes Theo. ;o) And yes, he pronounced Theodore correctly. Imagine that.
"We played a bookend game," said coach Todd Richards, whose team survived being outshot 16-3 in the second period. "We played a really good first period and a really good third period. In between we made some mistakes. But that's where Theo was great."
OMG this is terrific! I can't believe I missed the game, I didn't know he'd be in it! I'll check nhl gamecenter to see if I can watch it. Woot!
ReplyDeleteYou should be able to see it on Gamecenter. That's where I watched it. The first save he had was awesome, within the first minute. And he was great the whole night!! I'm so happy for him!!
ReplyDeleteit was a great game! i'm glad i could catch a online stream of it... big Theo fan here in Chile :)!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to see it! I'm also so happy to have a follower from Chile! I'm sure you're my first. ;o)
ReplyDeleteSweet! Don't know how he wasn't one of the three stars of the game, but Hockey Wilderness gave him the second star in the recap.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was really disappointed about him not being one of the three stars. He was consistently good the whole game. I'm glad HW gave him one.
ReplyDeletecan't believe he wasn't chosen as one of the three stars... he played incredibly, especially through the 2nd period...
ReplyDeletehaha and i'm probably the only chilean hockey fan to begin with lol
