And a good number of those saves were very impressive ones. José again played a great game! The rest of the Wild...not so much. There was a little more defense, that's why he only had to face 27 shots on goal rather than the 37 from last game. But they just couldn't do anything with the puck at the other end. Very disappointing.
The Fox Sports North guys selected him as the Star of the Game. I'm sure he'd rather have the win. But at least he did all he could to help the team win. Great job, José!!
More to come later...
José (Jo-say) Theodore (Thee-uh-dore) was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1994 and played with them until March of 2006, winning the Hart and Vezina Trophies in 2002. He spent two and a half seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. José signed with the Washington Capitals in July 2008 where he played the next two seasons. He was awarded the Masterton Trophy in 2010. He played the 2010-11 season with the Minnesota Wild, and then played 2 seasons with the Florida Panthers.

I'm glad FSN got Theo's name right - that seems to be the feed for the game highlights, and he was all over them with his saves.
ReplyDeleteYeah, some really great saves. I'm proud of him.
