Those of you who saw the game against Nashville on 11/26/10 might remember Theo's "save on himself." ;o) He played the puck as it came down the ice and tried to send it behind the net to one of his teammates. But it hit the boards and unfortunately went right to a Nashville player who was streaking in front of the net. Theo had to make an awesome sliding save to keep him from scoring. Oh, it would've been embarrassing. But since he made the save, it ended up being pretty cool. Whew!
It's the 3rd play on this video (on the Wild's website you can vote for the play of the week.) It begins around :50. Guess who I voted for? ;o)
José (Jo-say) Theodore (Thee-uh-dore) was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1994 and played with them until March of 2006, winning the Hart and Vezina Trophies in 2002. He spent two and a half seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. José signed with the Washington Capitals in July 2008 where he played the next two seasons. He was awarded the Masterton Trophy in 2010. He played the 2010-11 season with the Minnesota Wild, and then played 2 seasons with the Florida Panthers.
