13 years ago today José scored a goal (on the backhand) in a 3-0 shutout of the Islanders.
He is the only goalie in NHL history to score a goal (while shooting) and get a shutout in the same game.
(Damian Rhodes recorded a goal and got a shutout in 1999, but the goal he was credited with was an own goal by an opponent, not a shot by him.
