Backstrom/Theodore to Split the Two Wild Games This Week

According to fantasy hockey league sites out there, José and Backstrom will split the two games on Thursday and Friday.

This from rotoworld.com:

"Niklas Backstrom and Jose Theodore will split Minnesota's back-to-back contests this week.

The Wild play in Atlanta on Thursday before heading to Florida to take on the Panthers on Friday night. Coach Todd Richards did not specify an order though. Stay tuned."

I haven't read anything more official than that.

Also, here's a little blurb about the "fun" practice the Wild held on Monday.

"The Minnesota Wild held an entertaining practice on Monday, and after three wins and another three days before the next one, why not? To close out practice, Richards had the guys play a four-on-four scrimmage with the first team to score three goals getting the win.

It was a see-saw battle with a lot of offensive rushes from the defensemen. I saw Greg Zanon down below the goal line more in today’s practice than I have in his entire Wild career. Niklas Backstrom and Jose Theodore were both brilliant, but a 2-2 tie was snapped when Marty Havlat got loose in the slot and roofed a beautiful backhand past Theodore and into the upper corner.

That was followed by a lot of hooting and hollering, which means this team’s spirits are obviously high right now.
